iPads!!!!

Can anyone recommend apps to purchase or free that you use in your classroom?I am soooooo excited that today I got to set up our new iPads for the school!!! Our principal ordered us 18 iPad minis, Otterboxes, and a locking cart. I already downloaded a bunch of math and science free apps today. We will be getting Itunes cards to buy apps with soon.

  1. That is awesome! I can't wait to see what great apps you find. I'm moving to a school that has class sets for the teachers to use. We will share them, but that's more than I've ever had. :)

  2. I don't have any suggestions but I am excited to see what others suggest! :) I have a teacher iPad and I love it. I could suggest many teacher apps but haven't had the pleasure of many student apps yet. My students use iPods but we are just getting to know them. I do love Wonderopolis and Grammar Jammers...I guess that might be somewhere to start. I posted a few times about different apps we use if you want to check it out. Good luck! I'll check back soon to see what you find out for us. ;)

  3. You will love the iPads in the classroom. I have had one and a classroom set of iPod Touches for about 3 years and then this year our district went 1:1 iPads. The kids love them and are so engaged. I teach 5th grade and can give you some of the apps we like.
Math: numberline, math champ, big top 10
Social Studies: Stack the States, History for Kids, Memory Lane Today in History
Lang. Arts: Chicktionary, Word Salad, Writer's Hat, Book Creator, Talking News
We also use the Edmodo app for a lot of our class work.
Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun.
